During the commission's July 1, 2026 special meeting, the Main Administrative Building experienced a power outage that interrupted the livestream and recording. President Dale A. Buck recessed the meeting; the minutes state that "no discussion was held, no deliberations occurred, and no official business was conducted" during the interruption.
The county Information Technology Department assisted in restoring power and an additional livestream recording was initiated. The official record notes two separate YouTube livestreams: the meeting begins at approximately the 9:49 mark in the first recording and resumes at approximately the 0:28 mark in the second recording after power was restored. The commission reconvened and completed review and adoption of the addenda after the livestream reestablishment.
Because the minutes explicitly record that no business was conducted while the meeting was recessed, the commission's subsequent votes and adoptions were taken after the meeting formally resumed.
