The Lower Moreland Township Board took a series of formal actions July 14. Labor contracts and appointments - Approved Teamsters Local 107 (Public Works) four-year contract (01/01/2027–12/31/2030) with multi-year wage increases, enhanced HSA contributions and longevity adjustments (Resolution 26-31). - Approved Teamsters Local 107 (Clerical) four-year contract with similar wage and HSA provisions (Resolution 26-32). - Appointed AJ "EJ" Lee as interim township manager effective Aug. 1, 2026; the board also approved related resolutions authorizing check signers and appointing EJ Lee as treasurer and right-to-know officer.
Capital and public works - Demolition: awarded contract for two-fee simple-property demolitions at the Feathers Mill site to BRB Contractors for $88,000 (low bid; engineer recommendation). - Sidewalks: awarded low bid for library-area sidewalk improvements (MJS Concrete, $431,360) to be paid from grant funds. - Pumps: authorized purchase of a replacement pump and check valves for a township pump station at a cost not to exceed $92,500.
Other actions - Approved Resolution 26-27 to submit a DCED MTF application for Huntington Pike improvements and authorized township staff to sign documents related to application and subsequent agreements if awarded. - Approved a conditional offer of employment to a probationary police officer pending standard pre-employment checks.
