The Peabody Planning Board voted unanimously Thursday to continue the board’s review of two site-plan applications — 532 Lowell St. and 81 Prospect St. — to its next regular meeting on Aug. 6, after applicants requested more time to respond to peer-review and public-works comments.
A committee member moved to grant the petitioner’s request for 532 Lowell St., saying, “Mister chairman, in a matter of 532 Lowell Street, I would move to grant the petitioners request to extend out to the August 6 meeting.” The motion was seconded and the chair called the matter continued to Aug. 6.
The board recorded that Attorney Kelty called the planning office that afternoon and requested the continuance verbally; the file shows the 532 Lowell review remains continued from the previous meeting. The board packet also included peer-review findings and revised drawings submitted by the applicant’s engineer, Engineering Alliance, and board members noted outstanding questions remain with public services.
“I suspect what we’re waiting for is a letter from public services that all of these bullet points have been addressed,” a committee member said during the packet review. A board member who said they spoke with the Department of Public Works added, “What they’re waiting for is correspondence from the peer review on these comments.”
Separately, the board continued the review of 81 Prospect St. after an email from Nicholas Bettets requesting a continuance to Aug. 6 was included in the meeting packet. A committee member moved to continue 81 Prospect St. to Aug. 6; the motion was seconded and approved unanimously.
The board also approved the minutes of its June 18, 2026, meeting at the start of the session and heard a group report submitted by Holly Witten. With no further matters raised, a member moved to adjourn and the board voted to adjourn.
The Planning Board’s next regular meeting is scheduled for Aug. 6, 2026, when both continued items are expected to return to the agenda.
