Council Chair Jason Zuckerman introduced Ordinance 26-17, Ordinance 26-18 and Ordinance 26-19, each citing Article VII, Section 23(B) and (C) of the 1974 Louisiana Constitution and R.S. 47:1705 (B)(1) and (2).
The ordinances presented the council with options for setting millage rates for the coming year, including language to adopt adjusted rates and to roll forward rates not to exceed the maximum authorized levels. City staff were listed as present during the hearing, including City Attorney Elizabeth Sconzert and Finance Director Jessica Farno; no formal vote on any ordinance was recorded during the public hearing.
