Whitnall athletics recognized; presenter discloses district’s first known NIL arrangement

On the subject of name‑image‑likeness (NIL) agreements, Brock said the district recently learned of its first student NIL deal in Whitnall history and described district guidance on eligibility. "We actually, it's funny you said that we just had our 1st, student athlete ever in Whitnall history that has an n I l deal," Brock said, adding that the district treats the details as confidential and that the known local arrangement is roughly $999 for the year. Brock warned that student endorsements that use school uniforms, logos or other indications of district affiliation can trigger suspensions and forfeits under WIAA rules.
Brock also told the board a recent golf fundraiser raised roughly $10,000 for the district's activity fund to cover repairs and equipment.
The recognition did not prompt any board votes; the presentation was informational. The district said it will continue to advise families on NIL rules and encourage parents to consult with school staff before students accept paid endorsements.
