Council approves lease of vacant Cemetery Road parcel to local resident

Council members said Lee (the applicant) maintains his own property well and recommended approving the lease. One council member noted the property's long vacancy and encouraged a yes vote to put the parcel back into productive use. A motion to approve the lease was made, seconded and passed unanimously.
No conditions or lease terms were read into the record at the meeting; the chair indicated council members had read the submitted proposal and discussed it prior to the vote. Staff were directed to finalize the lease paperwork.
