Trappe audit shows improved finances; FY24/25 audit clean, auditor says

Roy Geiser of accounting firm UHY LLP presented the Town of Trappe’s Fiscal Year 2024–25 audit during the council’s Dec. 3 meeting, saying the audit was clean and the town is in a stronger financial position than it was about 10 years ago. Town Administrator Erin Braband read the Clerk’s report and the General and Enterprise fund budgets, which were filed with the town records.
Geiser told the council the town should continue prudent financial management as several infrastructure projects move forward. "The Town is in a much better financial position than it was about 10 years," he said, and added that this year’s audit was clean. He thanked staff for being prepared for the audit process.
No formal action was required of the council on the audit presentation; the council proceeded to other agenda items. The auditor did not list material findings requiring corrective action in the minutes filed with the records.
