Wallkill Valley board approves superintendent contract amid recusal questions

The resolution "Be it resolved by the Wallkill Valley Regional High School to approve the employment contract of David Carr to serve as Superintendent of Schools/Principal for the term July 1, 2025 through June 30, 2028" was moved by Robert Carlson and seconded by Thomas Kabatra. The motion was approved in a roll call vote: Ralph Bonard — Yes; Robert Carlson — Yes; Thomas Kabatra — Yes; Michael Davina — Yes; Jacqueline Elmo — Yes; Cynthia Rock — Recuse; Gina DeSino — No; Traci Dressner — No. Virginia Jones was absent.
No members of the public spoke on the agenda. The board approved a motion to adjourn at 6:38 p.m.
