Town Manager Sara J. Liscomb told selectmen on March 9 that three grant applications remain in progress and that the town will hold a community meeting on Wednesday, March 11 at 6:00 p.m. to discuss those matters.
Liscomb said Winter Harbor again received a Cole Transportation matching grant to purchase flags for utility poles to mark the nation’s 250th birthday. She also noted a budget meeting had been postponed because of an internet outage and a snowstorm and said the missed meeting will be made up at the next scheduled session.
In a public‑works update, Fire Chief and Road Commissioner R. Chandler reported that new benches are complete and ready to be installed once snow clears. Chandler said contractor J.E. Tracey will begin dock repairs on March 10.
During public comment, S. Ribble asked that the town website include links to local services. Jackie Jacobs asked whether the town’s investment account had lost money; the Treasurer’s Report lists two bond market values on different dates ($2,868,410.00 and $2,864,051.00), which the minutes record without a direct verbal reconciliation in the transcript.
