Representatives from the Young Bulls described volunteer screening, background checks for staff and a plan to operate practices and concessions; the board discussed insurance requirements and freezer/refrigerator logistics for concession supplies. Staff and vendors agreed to draft a contract with specific days, hours and a daily-use or monthly fee structure.
The board voted to table the concession rental contract to allow staff time to work out details and return with a contract at the next meeting. The town’s staff recommended a contract and a schedule be prepared rather than approving fees on the spot.
Separately, staff outlined Mule Town Night (scheduled for June 25, 5–9 p.m.), presenting a Swank Motion Pictures license fee of $565 to show the film Sing 2 and a $650 three-hour contract for the Night Tillers band. Cavendish Brewery sought to sell malt beverages at the event; staff said the brewery had required ABC permits but state rules require a second brewery to be invited for the arrangement to proceed. The board agreed to permit alcohol only within a supervised, confined beer-garden area and noted that the police department would staff the entrance to monitor open containers.
