Walton council appoints David Hincks to Boone County Planning Commission and approves Boone County emergency plan

The municipal order identifies its purpose as "appointing and approving David Hincks as a member of the Boone County Planning Commission for a new four-year term expiring December 31, 2029." Council member Matt Brown moved to approve Municipal Order 2026-01; Council member Dan Martin seconded. The roll call vote recorded Dan Martin, Matt Brown, Caleb Flege and Amy Long as voting yes, and the order was approved.
Council member Dan Martin moved to approve Executive Order 2026-01, adopting the Boone County Emergency Operations Plan; Council member Caleb Flege seconded. The same four council members — Dan Martin, Matt Brown, Caleb Flege and Amy Long — voted yes on the motion.
Following those votes, at 8:04 p.m. the council voted unanimously to enter a closed session under KRS 61.810(1)(f), which the statute identifies as an exception allowing discussion or hearings that might lead to appointment, discipline, or dismissal of an individual. Council member Caleb Flege made the motion to enter closed session, and Council member Amy Long seconded. The council exited closed session at 8:28 p.m. after a motion by Council member Dan Martin and a second by Council member Caleb Flege.
The meeting concluded when Council member Dan Martin moved to adjourn at 8:29 p.m.; Council member Caleb Flege seconded and the motion carried.
