The Vero Beach City Council on June 9 approved a resolution consenting to the assignment of an indemnity agreement from Corporate Air, Inc. to LY Infinity Vero Beach Property LLC that relates to construction and operation of a U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) user-fee facility at the Vero Beach Regional Airport.
The City Clerk read the resolution by title only. Councilmember Linda Moore moved to approve the measure and Councilmember John Carroll seconded; the council adopted the resolution on a 4-0 roll-call vote.
No members of the public spoke during the public hearing on the resolution. The resolution as presented provides the council’s consent to the contractual assignment; the document and attached “Exhibit A” were referenced in the clerk’s reading but specific financial or operational terms were not discussed on the record during the meeting.
Staff did not present further operational details at the meeting; airport staff previously indicated they were not in favor of privatization when private-sector changes affecting TSA were discussed during public comment.
