The Skowhegan Select Board advanced several routine items at its July 14 meeting, approving the minutes from the June 23 regular meeting and registering bingo for the Skowhegan State Fair (August 13–22).
The board considered and approved multiple on-premise license applications: an on-premise beer-only license for American Dreams Restaurant LLC (doing business as Pizza Hut), on-premise beer/wine/spirits licenses for The Miller's Table LLC (42 Court Street), Shen Fan/Zaptai LLC (Zaptai restaurant, 105 Water Street) and Bloomfield Incorporated (Bloomfield's Tavern, 40 Water Street). One license vote was recorded as 4–0 on the record for Shen Fan (transcript notation reported "4 to 0").
In financial business, the board approved treasurer's warrants numbered 1, 2, 3, 94, 95 and 96 totaling $947,495.37. A board member read the warrant total aloud and the motion to approve the warrants passed 4–0 on the record.
The board also approved the Maine Municipal Association legislative policy committee nominee on the slate, moving to approve Richard Labelle as the town's nominee for the three-year term.
These items were carried as routine business during the meeting; where specific roll-call tallies were not given in the transcript for some items, approvals were recorded by voice vote.
