"These agreements are contingent upon the receipt from the PA Department of Education of the full amount of funding requested," the president said.
The board approved the motion after a second and the clerk recorded the vote as passing 8–0. The agreements were reported to be available for public inspection at the district office.
Why it matters: the Pre-K Counts and Head Start supplemental assistance programs provide state- and federally-aligned early learning services intended to expand access to prekindergarten for families in the district. The board noted the district will only proceed with implementation if the Pennsylvania Department of Education awards the requested funds.
