The Town Board approved a slate of hires in the Recreation Department and cleared internal promotions during its March 23 workshop.
Jim Pressuti, Commissioner of Parks and Recreation, requested approval to hire Luke Barnes (part-time laborer), Timothy Fisher (part-time recreation aide), Dylan Krumphole (full-time recreation aide), Monique Morano (part-time recreation aide) and Carilin Wallace (full-time recreation aide). The board approved each hire by separate motions; all passed 5–0. The minutes note hires must complete required paperwork, fingerprinting, physicals and drug/alcohol testing; start dates are contingent on Orange County Human Resources clearance and a proposed start date of April 6, 2026 for some positions.
Separately, the board approved promotion/hiring of Michael Black from part-time laborer to full-time Park Attendant at a salary of $25.00 per hour and the appointment of John Matthews to a full-time laborer position at $25.28 per hour under the CSEA contract (Step 7). Proposed start dates for both were March 30, 2026; both motions passed unanimously.
The board also approved a motion to begin recruitment for a part-time recreation aide at the Desmond campus; the minutes state funds are available in the 2026 budget. No discussion details beyond staffing procedures are recorded in the minutes.
