The council handled a multi-item consent agenda and a handful of routine scheduling and staff items before adjourning after roughly 20 minutes.
The consent agenda approved items including the Memorial Day parade, hiring of swimming pool employees, a five-year electric rate increase plan, termination language tied to resolution 20 26 16 and the agency agreement with the Midwest Municipal Gas Agency, and a mobile merchant license for a food truck/Chick-fil-A item. The chair and council members then confirmed upcoming meeting dates (KMU meeting May 19 at 3 p.m., EDA May 26 at 8 a.m., and the next council meeting June 9 at 7 p.m.).
Staff thanked Heather for fixing electronics during the meeting and Scott said he was collecting estimates to upgrade the meeting audiovisual system. A council member reminded the public of a community pool fundraiser scheduled Saturday from 2 to 5 p.m. The meeting closed after a motion to adjourn passed by voice vote.
