Scott also said representatives from Rebound and the project’s core team (including a named individual he called ‘mister Riggs’ and Tammy from Northland) will present at the Monday work session, which he scheduled to start at 6 p.m. so council members could receive a full briefing.
Scott told the council the mayor expects to join the special session. He also explained meeting notice requirements for special meetings — they will be posted three days in advance and limited to the listed topics — and said the session will focus on TIF-related items and possible actions involving the Sunset Home.
The council did not take final action on the TIF at this meeting; Scott emphasized the work session is intended to provide information and allow for in-depth questions before votes. The planning and zoning commission meeting to review the TIF is scheduled for June 2, with council consideration anticipated on June 9.
