Kemper County Utility District meeting ends without quorum; $500,000 grant sought for industrial land

A written report from Terrell Temple said he is working on a $500,000 grant application to assist with land acquisition for an industrial property; the application was noted as due Friday (the minutes do not specify the calendar date). Temple’s report also said that moving a regulator station slightly north would require approval from the Tennessee Valley Authority before construction can proceed and that TVA’s approval had not yet been provided.
