Fraser Public Works Facility FPDP hearing continued after notice error

The Fraser Planning Commission on May 27 continued the public hearing on the Fraser Public Works Facility final planned development plan (FPDP) after staff determined required property-owner notice was incomplete.
Town staff told the Commission that town code requires notification of property owners within 200 feet of the proposed facility, and the railroad right-of-way was not included in the notice because the county parcel data system does not assign ownership to railroad right-of-way parcels. Assistant Town Attorney Cooper Gehle and staff advised that the hearing must be continued to allow proper notice.
Commissioner Brian Cerkvenik moved to continue the hearing and Commissioner Margaret Bowles seconded; the motion carried 6-0. The agenda item and any related PC Resolution (2026-05-01) were held without action pending corrected notice and renoticing to affected property owners.
The Chair reopened the public forum briefly before the continuation to allow members who had traveled from Denver specifically for the hearing to address the Commission; Parnell Quinn spoke during that reopening. The public works facility hearing will be rescheduled after the town completes the required notice procedures.
