The Planning Commission on July 15 agreed to defer a conditional‑use permit application for Oxford House Incorporated and PC Virginia Homes LLC to the Aug. 5 meeting at the applicants’ request.
The chair told the commission the applicants had requested a deferral and a commissioner moved to grant it. Resident Latonya Alexander, who identified herself as living at 6 Bracken Lane in the Stony Brook Estate, asked to hear the applicants’ full presentation at the deferred hearing so she could ask targeted questions after researching the proposal. “I was hoping to hear the other side and what they actually had to present,” Alexander said. The commission confirmed the item will be heard Aug. 5 at 2 p.m.
The commission closed the public hearing on the item and will reopen it at the scheduled August meeting to accept any additional testimony and the applicants’ presentation.
