The Fraser Board of Trustees approved Ordinance 538 on July 8 to vacate a subdivision-exemption plat called the “20 W” planning area so the town’s Final Planned Development Plan (FPDP) boundaries will be correct when the FPDP is recorded.
Town planner Jack Seward presented the staff report and displayed maps explaining that two recorded diagrams currently portray overlapping depictions of the same land. He said vacating the exemption plat will allow the FPDP to be recorded with consistent boundaries and that staff will bring a subdivision plat forward so Rendezvous can retain a legal description for an eventual private conveyance. An attorney briefing the board explained the background as a past agreement between Rendezvous and Grand Park dating to their split in the mid-2000s.
The public hearing drew no public speakers. A trustee moved to approve Ordinance 538 to vacate the 20 W exemption plat; the motion was seconded and passed by voice vote. No formal roll-call tally was recorded in the public transcript. Trustees were told that correcting the recorded plats is a technical step needed before the FPDP is finalized and recorded; staff said the FPDP is expected to come back to the board in August.
Next steps noted at the meeting: staff will present a subdivision plat so the town can preserve a legal description of the 20 W area for future private conveyance, and the FPDP application will return to the board for formal approval with corrected boundaries.
