KPSAA representatives said KPBSD currently has one of the lowest fee structures in the state and is unique among large districts in offering a family cap.
Board discussion centered on balancing access and fiscal exposure. Vaughn Dosko, KPSAA executive secretary, noted insurance coverage gaps for non‑KPBSD participant travel and said the two superintendents are negotiating both fee structure and insurance language. President Settlemyer asked the board to model a $1,400 cap on the district’s family‑cap structure as a starting point for the MOA.
