At its Feb. 25 meeting the KPSAA Executive Membership voted unanimously to distribute proposed bylaw revisions to school administrators for a 30‑day comment period and adopted specific staffing changes to Appendix D.
Dan Beck moved and Tracy Smith seconded the motion to circulate the proposed bylaw amendments; the motion carried unanimously. The board directed Executive Secretary Vaughn Dosko to send the enclosure to school administrators for comment, with final approval scheduled for April.
Separately, the board adopted Appendix D amendments to add a fifth assistant coach for high‑school Track & Field when participation reaches 90 or more athletes and to add a fourth assistant for Cross Country Running and Nordic Skiing when those activities reach 75 participants. The motion to adopt those Appendix D changes was moved by Dan Beck and seconded by Jenna Fabian and passed unanimously.
Board members said the staffing guideline changes aim to ensure adequate supervision and coaching as participation grows; no implementation timeline beyond the standard handbook update process was specified at the meeting.
