Trust hears updates on Subsidized Housing Inventory, Habitat deed issues and mobile-home initiatives

The Plymouth Affordable Housing Trust received updates June 17 on recent permitting and partner projects that could increase the town's Subsidized Housing Inventory (SHI).
Staff reported that 19 permits at 19 Hickory were added; the SHI list itself had not yet been updated. Amy Belmore of Habitat for Humanity said the organization is working with the Town Council to settle the deed for a tax-title property at 195 Wareham Road and plans to return to the Trust's July 15 meeting with more detail.
Nora Gosselin, director of resident acquisitions at the Cooperative Development Institute, described work with resident-owned mobile units at Mayflower Hills (0 Patriot Circle, off Beaver Dam Road, approximately 50 units). Gosselin said CDI has a strong working relationship with MassHousing and the Executive Office of Housing and Livable Communities and that three projects have successfully combined Trust funds with state funding to allow mobile-home units to be added to the SHI upon resale. She offered to return to answer questions or discuss next steps at a future meeting.
No formal actions were taken on these updates at the June 17 meeting.
