Knox County Commission approves voluntary resignation agreement for dispatch supervisor

The Knox County Commission voted 3-0 Thursday to approve an agreement formalizing the voluntary resignation of a dispatch supervisor after briefly convening in executive session, the commission's chair said.

The chair opened the special meeting and asked for public comment before moving the commission into executive session "for consultations with legal counsel pursuant to 1 M.R.S.A. §405(6)(E)," the chair said. A motion to enter executive session was made, seconded and approved unanimously.

After returning to open session, a committee member moved "to approve an agreement on a voluntary resignation for a dispatch supervisor," and the motion was seconded and approved with no discussion. The chair then called the vote: "3 in favor, none opposed." The commission did not provide further details about the terms of the agreement during the public meeting.

The chair asked whether there was any other business and noted the board's next regularly scheduled meeting is its normal second-Tuesday monthly meeting unless other items arise. A motion to adjourn was moved, seconded and approved; the chair declared the meeting adjourned.
