Commission honors Deputy Administrator Kendall Anderson as he departs for Madison County

Commissioners and county staff used meeting time to recognize Deputy Administrator Kendall Anderson after a proclamation from the mayor’s office honoring Anderson’s public service. Frank Robinson read a proclamation noting Anderson’s 14 years of service at the Central Alabama Regional Planning Commission and his contributions to transportation planning, community development and county operations.
Several commissioners praised Anderson for his leadership, availability to commissioners and role rebuilding county staff. Vice Chair Moore Ziegler called Anderson "like a little brother," and multiple commissioners thanked him for mentoring and for helping to strengthen county teams. Anderson thanked staff and the commission, recounted the work of rebuilding a management team and said he has confidence in staff’s ability to continue serving county residents.
Anderson said he will be moving to Madison County to serve as county administrator and that he looks forward to continued collaboration between jurisdictions. No formal personnel actions were taken during the recognition.
