Occoquan council approves consent agenda, Police Week proclamation and Visit Occoquan event; closes budget public hearing

• Visit Occoquan fundraising event and fee waiver: Councilmember Robert Love moved, and Councilmember Eliot Perkins seconded, to approve Visit Occoquan’s request to hold a fundraising event at Mamie Davis Park on Oct. 17, 2026, waive the Special Event application fee and authorize event capacity up to 150 attendees subject to permit and safety requirements; the motion passed unanimously by voice vote.
