Adell board appoints Plan Commission member, forms ad hoc park improvements committee

The Village of Adell Board of Trustees on June 10 appointed Dave Anhalt to a one-year citizen seat on the Plan Commission and authorized the creation of an ad hoc committee to address park improvements.
Village President Andy Schmitt moved to appoint Dave Anhalt to the Plan Commission; Trustee Eric Cline seconded and the motion carried. President Schmitt also noted the Plan Commission will review ordinances 13-1-92 and 13-1-93 with attorneys at a future date, scheduling legal review rather than taking immediate action on those ordinances.
Trustee Arush Chahal moved to create an ad hoc committee for park improvements; Trustee Brian Parr seconded and the motion carried. President Schmitt said he would like to form an ad hoc committee for trail maintenance in early fall, indicating upcoming volunteer or committee activity to address village trails.
Director of Public Works Matthew Risch reported the park playset will be closed for repairs for an estimated one to two weeks. The board recorded that the Finance and Personnel Committee will review employee daybooks; no further action was taken in that matter at the meeting.
Trustee Leighton Holtz moved to adjourn at the close of business; Trustee Arush Chahal seconded and the motion carried.
