The Floyd County Board of Supervisors voted 3-0 Tuesday to set a public hearing on Floyd County Ordinance 2026-02, which would establish rules for areas under the control of the Floyd County Conservation Board, for 9:15 a.m. on June 16 in the Floyd County Courthouse Board Room.
Supervisor Gloria A. Carr, chair of the Floyd County Board of Supervisors, was recorded as present along with Supervisor Boyd Campbell and Supervisor Frank Rottinghaus. At the May 26 meeting in the Floyd County Courthouse EOC/Training Room the board first approved the meeting agenda and the May 19, 2026 minutes; both motions carried 3-0.
The board also voted to rescind an earlier motion made May 12 that had set the ordinance hearing for June 2. After rescinding that earlier scheduling, the board—by a unanimous vote—set the new public hearing date and time of June 16 at 9:15 a.m.
The meeting record shows the motions were moved and seconded by members of the board (motions recorded as Rottinghaus/Campbell and Campbell/Rottinghaus in the minutes) and that each recorded motion carried by a 3-0 vote. The meeting adjourned at 5:43 p.m. The minutes were attested by Floyd County Auditor Morrigan Montagne and signed by Chair Gloria A. Carr.
