Stamping Ground commissioners appoint mayor pro tem, reassign public‑works role and name webpage administrators

The Stamping Ground City Commission voted unanimously Jan. 21 to appoint Commissioner Dale Perry as mayor pro tem and to reassign Ken Koger as the city’s Public Works commissioner, moves intended to clarify departmental roles and webpage administration.

Economic Development Commissioner Cody Meadows moved to accept Dale Perry as mayor pro tem; the motion was seconded by Commissioner Ken Koger. During new‑business discussion, Commissioner Perry noted that the city’s ordinances do not list a separate Parks department and that park functions are performed through Public Works. The commission then approved the reassignments and related personnel motions in recorded votes reported as 5–0.

Meadows also moved to name Michelle Randolph the city webpage administrator and to appoint Commissioner Koger as the page editor to address website and .gov email issues; that motion, seconded by Perry, was approved 5–0. Attorney Joe Hoffman clarified at the meeting that municipal orders govern internal city operations while ordinances affect residents, a distinction the commission discussed while considering role and process changes.

The appointments and webpage assignments were procedural actions made by motion and vote; no additional compensation changes were recorded in the minutes. Meeting minutes will be reviewed and approved at the commission’s next meeting on Feb. 4.
