Administrator Dave Schmidt presented Payment Nos. 1 and 2 for the Eagle Crest Subdivision Project #211489, describing the work as the dirt-moving phase and noting that the payment recommendation came from engineering consultant JEO. The two payments total $277,573.05 and are payable to Myers Construction Inc.; Schmidt said funds will come from the city's sales tax infrastructure account (account ending in 168).
Councilmember Russ Smith moved, seconded by Luke Wassom, to approve Resolution 2024-07 authorizing the two payments to Myers Construction Inc.; Smith, Wassom and Holland voted aye and the motion carried. Later in the meeting the council moved by Wassom, seconded by Holland, to approve the Highway 2 Sanitary Sewer Extension Agreement with Myers Construction; the motion passed unanimously among members present.
Schmidt described the payments as part of the early-site (dirt moving) phase of the Eagle Crest project and said JEO recommended approval. No additional funding action or amendment to the budget was recorded in the meeting minutes for these approvals.
