Wilcox trustees adopt housing study and unanimously approve Workforce Housing Incentive Plan

The Village of Wilcox Board of Trustees adopted the completed Wilcox Housing Study and approved a Workforce Housing Incentive Plan during its regular meeting on Aug. 12, 2025.
Resolution #682, to adopt the Wilcox Housing Study, was read and reviewed and then passed on a motion by Trustee Nash with a second by Trustee Norman. The resolution was approved and signed by Chairman Brad Gardels. Later in the meeting, Trustee Nash moved to approve the Workforce Housing Incentive Plan; Trustee Johnson seconded and the motion carried unanimously.
The Incentive Plan hearing had been opened earlier and remained open while the board proceeded with other business. J. Patterson appeared on behalf of the local school to discuss possible options for increasing residential housing supply and was present during the board’s review of the plan and study. The minutes record no recorded dissent; votes on the two formal actions were recorded as unanimous among the trustees present.
The board also reviewed the Municipal Annual Certification of Program Compliance for 2025 (Resolution #683) and approved it by motion of Trustee Nash with a second by Trustee Norman; the documents were signed by the chairman.
