Clerk's office outlines Littleton primary voting locations, early-vote schedule and ballot deadlines

The Clerk's Office announced that Littleton's primary election is scheduled for Tuesday, September 1, with in-person voting from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Littleton Middle School's Charles Forbes K Gymnasium, 55 Russell Street. The clerk also released the schedule for in-person early voting at the Multipurpose Room, 37 Shattuck Street.

The announced early-voting schedule is: Saturday, Aug. 22, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.; Monday, Aug. 24, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Tuesday, Aug. 25 through Thursday, Aug. 27, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; and Friday, Aug. 28, 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The clerk said voters may also request early mail-in ballots and absentee ballots.

The clerk warned that the last day to request an early mail-in ballot is Tuesday, Aug. 25 at 5 p.m.; the last day to request an absentee ballot is Monday, Aug. 31 at noon. The office urged applicants not to wait until the last minute "as the clerk's office does not control the postal service," and reminded residents to sign their application and include a phone number so staff can contact them if necessary.

The clerk noted party-specific rules: a registered Democrat may not request a Republican ballot and vice versa; unenrolled, independent or other-party voters must designate which party's ballot they want. The office advised checking the state website to confirm when a mailed ballot has been sent and to contact the clerk's office if the ballot status is unclear. "Help us to help you make your voting experience easy and rewarding," the clerk said.
