Connie Mattei was elected chair of the Salem Township Planning Commission after a motion by Paul Holleran and a second from John Wright; the motion passed unanimously at the board’s Jan. 7 organizational meeting.
The Commission likewise unanimously approved Holleran as vice-chair and Kelly Otto as secretary after formal nominations and votes by the three members present. "I appreciate being able to serve and would certainly serve again," Mattei said after the vote.
The Commission then voted to approve the minutes of the Dec. 3, 2025 meeting. Paul Holleran and Connie Mattei voted in favor; John Wright abstained. The board recorded the minutes approval as passing by majority vote.
The meeting concluded with a unanimous motion to adjourn at 8:02 p.m. and a note that the next regular meeting is scheduled for Feb. 4, 2026 at 6:00 p.m., if there is an agenda. The meeting record was signed by Kelly Otto.
