At the June 17 meeting of the Twin Lakes Homeowners Association board, Vice President Craig Brown updated members on ongoing common-grounds work and wetlands reporting.
Craig said Federal Way would like the Ponce wetland report sent to a third-party consultant for review; the estimated review cost is $9,200, which the minutes state would be paid by the HOA. He said the board’s strategy is to submit the Treasure Island consultant report along with landscape designs for both Ponce and Treasure Island to Federal Way for review. Craig indicated he is investigating landscape design resources to support those submissions.
Separately, the board unanimously approved a motion to clarify the HOA’s waterfront fencing rules. The minutes note the clarified wording had been reviewed and approved by HOA legal counsel before the board vote. Craig Brown introduced the clarification and Tom Brunner seconded the motion.
The minutes record that critical-areas projects at Ponce DeLeon and Treasure Island remain pending and that recent volunteer work parties were successful, though additional volunteer participation was encouraged. At Treasure Island a drain/pump project is pending and a contractor will perform service locates as part of preparations.
No vote tally beyond unanimous approval for the fencing-rule motion is recorded for the wetlands-review discussion. The minutes do not specify whether the board formally approved the $9,200 expenditure for a consultant review; they record only the estimated cost and the board discussion of strategy.
