Lebanon council unanimously adopts 2026–27 budget, directs small school donations

The Lebanon Town Council on June 15 unanimously approved the Town of Lebanon’s 2026–2027 budget as presented.
Council Member M. Elijah Leonard moved to approve the budget; Council Member Scott J. Gilmer seconded the motion. The vote was recorded as follows: DeAnna C. Jackson, Aye; Scott J. Gilmer, Aye; M. Elijah Leonard, Aye; J. Leonard Kegley, Aye; Nina J. Fields, Aye. Mayor Nelson A. "Tony" Dodi presided.
Town Manager Andrew R. Shortt also recommended directing $500 from the Lebanon High School sports donation line to the new Lebanon High School training facility and $500 from the Extracurricular Arts donation line to the Lebanon Elementary School send-home folder program. Council approved both donations in a single unanimous motion (moved by Scott J. Gilmer; seconded by M. Elijah Leonard). The council record lists the same five members voting Aye.
The budget approval completes the council’s formal action on the fiscal year spending plan for the coming year. The minutes note the Council’s subsequent procedural and programmatic items, including updates to grant guidelines and enforcement procedures for delinquent taxes and licenses.
