The Ouachita Parish School Board on June 9 adopted resolutions setting the district’s 2026 ad valorem millage rates, saying the levies are unchanged from the prior year.
Regina Mikas read the resolution stating that the constitutional millage is 5.18 mills and maintenance and operation is 24.15 mills; she also listed the East Ouachita bond millage at 36 mills. “There are no changes in the current year from the prior year,” Mikas told the board.
The board conducted a roll‑call vote to adopt the resolution. Board members voted in favor; the clerk recorded six members present and one absent, and the chair announced the motion carried.
The resolution empowers local administrative officials to spread and collect the taxes on the 2026 assessment roll and states those taxes become a permanent lien enforceable under law. The board did not discuss changing any of the millage rates during the meeting.
