Holdingford board accepts resignations and approves hires, including K–5 vocal music teacher

The Holdingford Public School District Board of Education accepted multiple personnel actions at its July 15 meeting, approving resignations, new hires and a counselor lane change ahead of the 2026–2027 school year.
The board accepted resignations from Becca VanHeel (Community Education Coordinator), effective June 25, 2026; Rachel Schwartz (Elementary Paraprofessional), effective July 17, 2026; and Lydia Sailor (Fifth Grade Teacher), effective July 2, 2026. Board members thanked each employee for their years of service.
On hiring, the board approved the employment of Aileen Swenson as the K–5 vocal music teacher for the 2026–2027 school year at MS20 Step 16 (motion by Pat Meier, second by Ben Christensen). The board also approved a lane change for Secondary Counselor Lisa Jarnot to MS30 Step 11 effective at the start of the 2026–2027 school year (motion by Ben Christensen, second by Sarah Hansen), hired Ellie Theis as a lifeguard at the lifeguard starting wage (motion by Nicole Burg, second by Evelyn Martini), and hired Gina Boeckermann as a paraprofessional at the paraprofessional starting wage (motion by Sarah Hansen, second by Ben Christensen). Evelyn Martini recorded an abstention on the Boeckermann hire; the motion otherwise carried.
These personnel approvals followed standard motions and votes recorded in the meeting minutes. The board confirmed its next regular meeting for Aug. 19, 2026, and an Air Quality Improvement Project public meeting on Aug. 5, 2026.
