The Salem Township Board of Supervisors approved a declaration of local disaster emergency and adopted Resolution 8-2026 during an emergency conference-call meeting on Jan. 25, 2026. The motion to approve the declaration and the resolution passed unanimously.
Bob Zundel moved to approve the declaration and Resolution 8-2026; Todd Paulich seconded the motion. Kerry Jobe relayed that the action was highly recommended by Fred Cecchini and Bobby Rosetti. The recorded vote shows Kerry Jobe, Bob Zundel and Todd Paulich voting in favor; the motion passed unanimously.
The board also approved a motion to adjourn and to schedule a public hearing on the matter for Feb. 18, 2026, at 6:00 p.m., followed by the regular meeting at 7:00 p.m. The hearing and regular meeting will be held at the Salem Township Municipal Building. The meeting was adjourned at 6:46 p.m. Minutes were submitted by Kelly Otto.
What happened: the board took formal action to declare a local disaster emergency through Resolution 8-2026, citing recommendations received in advance of the emergency session.
