The Broken Bow City Council approved its consent agenda and bills totaling $498,279.15 at a meeting on Sept. 10, 2024. Councilmember Russ Smith moved to approve the consent agenda and Councilmember Paul Holland seconded; Smith and Holland voted aye and the motion carried. Mayor Rod Sonnichsen presided. Luke Wassom and Chris Myers were absent.
The consent agenda included approval of the minutes from the Aug. 27, 2024 budget workshop and the Aug. 27 council meeting, and a bills list read into the record. The bills list includes payments to municipal utilities, vendors supporting parks and public works, the Broken Bow Chamber of Commerce and a variety of service providers; the minutes recorded a total of $498,279.15 for the items presented as part of the consent package. Individual vendor line items were included in the meeting record but not voted on separately; they were passed together as the consent agenda.
Also during the meeting, Smith moved and Holland seconded a motion to excuse the absences of councilmembers Luke Wassom and Chris Myers; the motion carried on a roll call vote. The council subsequently approved a motion to adjourn at 6:06 p.m.
The meeting minutes were attested by Mayor Rod Sonnichsen and City Clerk Jennifer Waterhouse.
