Vincennes Community School Corp. board recognizes new principals, teachers and athletics director

The Vincennes Community School Corp. board on Monday used part of its meeting to introduce several hires and internal promotions ahead of the upcoming school year.
Laurie Graham will serve as interim principal at Washington Learning Academy and will continue to oversee virtual education for the district, a staff member told the board. Dr. Duke introduced Aaron Hall as the district’s new assistant principal, noting Hall has more than 20 years in education and recent teaching experience at Lincoln.
Dr. Duke also presented Katie Lunsford, a 2017 Lincoln graduate who most recently worked as a student activities coordinator at Vincennes University and will teach English at Lincoln. A staff member said Ian Battles will transfer into the CMS athletic director role and continue to teach social studies, and Craig introduced Madison Riley as the district’s new second‑grade teacher after her student teaching and long‑term substitute work.
