A motion to approve the official minutes from the June 18 work session passed by voice vote. The board then approved disbursements totaling $4,824,405.21 following brief discussion about technology spending and planned internal audits. The motion to approve disbursements carried by voice vote with no opposed recorded.
The board accepted listed retirements and resignations; administrators recognized a long‑serving facilities employee, identified in the record as JR, who will retire after overseeing ongoing construction work. Appointments contingent on receipt of required clearances (Act 168 of 2014) were approved, and the board approved affiliation agreements with Temple University to serve as placement sites for three school psychology interns in 2026–27.
The board voted to retain the firm McNeese, Wallace and Nurick as special counsel for labor relations based on an RFP process. Trustees asked that administration provide the contract or statement of work for review; administration said contract development and negotiations are in progress.
Other actions recorded as approved by voice vote included educational service agreements and out‑of‑district contracts for students, a student assistance program consultant contract, enrollment of one international exchange student for 2026–27, a student robotics excursion, and the revised 2026–27 school calendar.

The next regular work session is scheduled for Aug. 6, 2026, at 7 p.m. in the administration building boardroom.
