Clifton council conditionally approves Boy Scout lock-in at Town Hall pending HVAC and authorizations

Ethan Eppley of Boy Scout Troop 1104 requested use of the Town Hall for a March 2–3 lock-in and asked the council to waive rental fees. Mayor Tom Peterson said the Town Hall HVAC was not currently functioning and that there was no Certificate of Occupancy on file, suggesting Clifton Presbyterian Church as an alternative site.
Councilmember Lynn Screen moved to approve the request provided the proper legal authorizations are received and the HVAC is functioning in time for the event. Councilmember Mary Hess seconded the motion and it was approved by poll, 6-0.
The approval is conditional: the event may proceed in Town Hall only if the town secures required authorizations and the HVAC is repaired and certified.
