Fairfax County official says Clifton Elementary likely to be demolished and turned into a park

McDaniel said the county plans to allow the Fairfax County Park Authority to convert the land into a park and that no work is expected for about three to four years at the earliest.
McDaniel presented the county’s assessment to the council but did not request any council vote or action. The presentation served as informational background for Clifton residents and the council as the county evaluates options and timing for the property.
