Board to continue SRO MOU for 2026–27; district to cover half of officer pay plus benefits

Dr. Mueller said the district’s financial obligation is to pay 50% of the SRO’s hourly rate plus benefits for each hour worked, and that the contract term begins five days before the school year and extends five days after the school year.
Dr. Mueller also announced the district’s incoming SRO, Tyler Blair, and described him as having prior SRO experience in another district and as eager to engage with students and families.
"The main goal of our school resource officer program is maintaining a safe and secure environment on our school grounds," Dr. Mueller said.
Board members offered brief comments of welcome; the SRO MOU will be brought forward on the July 27 consent agenda for approval.
