Kim Edwards, executive director of instructional services, presented a renewal of the cooperative academic partnership program (dual enrollment) with the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh, which would allow the district to continue offering an adventure and outdoor recreation course for both high school and college credit.
Edwards said the renewal mirrors similar agreements the district holds with UW system schools and noted a modest tuition increase to $115 per credit for the course.
"The only changes... a slight increase in tuition per credit where it did go up to a $115 per credit," Edwards said, adding that the cost remains reasonable compared with typical college tuition rates. Board members did not raise substantive objections; the renewal will be included on the July 27 consent agenda for approval.
The renewal keeps the dual-enrollment opportunity available to high-school students for both secondary and postsecondary credit.
