At the start of the meeting a Summit Carbon Solutions project manager introduced herself and said the firm is restarting outreach for a carbon-capture pipeline under new management and with a different route proposal that would run through southeastern Hall County.
Kylie Lang, the company's Nebraska project manager, said the company will reach out to landowners over the coming weeks, does not have an up-to-date map to present now because routes are still being developed in response to landowner feedback, and will return to the board for a full presentation. "We're going to start reaching out just to see if landowners are interested in the project," she said, adding that the company will leave contact information with county staff.
Commissioners advised the company to request time on a future agenda so the presentation can be scheduled formally and so the board has time to hear a full proposal and maps. The exchange was a public comment/notice of intent rather than a permit or formal application; commissioners said they expected a fuller presentation in one to two months.
