Maple Valley board approves $242,409 in bills, sets Sept. 11 budget/tax hearing

The Maple Valley School Board approved routine financial items and scheduled the district’s budget and tax hearing during its Aug. 12 meeting.
Early in the meeting the board approved an amended agenda and then approved minutes from the July 10 regular meeting. The board voted to pay a slate of bills presented at the meeting totaling $242,409.15; major line items in the packet included GERRELLS ($42,751.11), SHEYENNE VALLEY CAREER – TECH ($42,632.50) and SP&E (listed in the minutes as 60,100.0). The board also approved the General Fund, Activities and Hot Lunch accounts as presented. All motions were recorded as carried unanimously (MCU).
The board set the annual Budget/Tax hearing for Sept. 11 at 6:00 p.m., to be held in the school library (Room 210), with the regular board meeting to follow. Board members asked that the hearing notice and agenda be circulated and posted per usual practice.
