Wilbraham Conservation Commission backs wetland buffer signs for Stony Hill Road property

At its June 8, 2026 meeting the Wilbraham Conservation Commission agreed to add permanent wetland buffer signage for a property at 975 Stony Hill Road after a continued hearing with applicants Mark Jurkowski and Laurie Barber.
The applicants presented a mock-up of the proposed signs, and the Commission agreed the Special Conditions for the site should include signage that reads: "Wetland Buffer Zone. No disturbance, work or dumping beyond this point. Per Order of the Wilbraham Conservation Commission." The Commission directed that approximately four signs, each about 18 inches by 12 inches, be placed along the south side and the back of the house. The precise mounting height will be determined during a site visit.
The request to amend the Order of Conditions was continued from the Commission's May 18, 2026 session. The minutes record the Commission's direction on wording and placement but do not record a roll-call vote on the signage amendment; the applicants will proceed with the site visit and final placement details to be reported at a future meeting.
The Commission's next regular meeting is scheduled for July 13, 2026 at 6:30 p.m.
