Gary Wolf, chair of the Village of Plover Plan Commission, called the meeting to order June 29 and the commission held a public hearing on Paul Sankey’s request for a Conditional Use Permit to operate a major home-occupation business from a detached garage at 3130 Plover Road.
Karmen Anderson, a staff member, read the staff report and told commissioners the business would operate from the detached garage; a divider wall would separate the business area from the residence and only minimal outdoor storage would be used, none of which would be visible from the street. Jasmine Barclift read the public hearing notice. Applicant Paul Sankey was in attendance to answer questions; Commissioner Chris Shulfer questioned the applicant about the size of the garage.
Anderson told the commission staff recommended approval with the conditions noted in the staff report and said any future exterior signage would require separate approval. After the hearing was closed, Commissioner Steve Worzella moved to recommend approval to the Village Board; Sherri Galle-Teske seconded and the motion carried.
